Windows Vista® Information for NetSwitcher

With the release of Windows Vista many applications, including NetSwitcher, are unable to work properly.  The main issue here is that the Vista UAC (User Account Control) is display almost continuously as NetSwitcher changes the various system settings.

In case you haven't seen the Apple ad about this, you can see it here:  Apple Vista Ad

It's a very funny ad, unfortunately it's all too true...  We strongly recommend that you DISABLE Vista's UAC before attempting to use your system in any way.  See this link for how to disable it.  It's sad that a company with the software development resources of Microsoft couldn't come up with a better solution than UAC...

The release notes for NetSwitcher V3.4.0 which supports Vista are here.

The download is here.  (Updated 1/1/2008) Please note that this is BETA.  We have been successfully testing this on a factory installed copy of Vista Business notebook from Dell.  We have another system with a self-installed version of the Vista RTM and it does not work.  We've not been able to debug the problem.  It could be that the Vista RTM is defective or that there is something else.  But we think it's ready to be tested by others.
