Windows Vista® and Windows 7 Information for NetSwitcher
NetSwitcher works with both Windows Vista and Windows 7 (32 and 64 bit editions). The main issue here is that the Vista and Windows 7 UAC (User Account Control) may display often as NetSwitcher changes the various system settings. Windows 7 is a bit better about this but it can be annoying just the same.
In case you haven't seen the Apple ad about this, you can see it here: Apple Vista Ad
It's a very funny ad, unfortunately it's all too true... We recommend that you DISABLE Vista's UAC before attempting to use your system in any way. See this link for how to disable it. It's sad that a company with the software development resources of Microsoft couldn't come up with a better solution than UAC... (some slight improvement in Windows 7 but it's still annoying...)
The release notes for NetSwitcher V3.4.1 which supports Vista and Windows 7 are here.
Be sure you are using the V3.4.1 installer. The V3.4.0 installer will show a warning about an unsupported version of Windows:
But the software will work as expected. For best results, however, please use V3.4.1 or later with Windows 7.
